The University of Oklahoma – College of Nursing

The Degree Completion (RN to BSN) program at the University of Oklahoma is a flexible degree program for registered nurses who want to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The RN to BSN program is delivered online with flexible clinical practicum hours. Students will complete 30 credit hours at the University. Learning time is approximately 2-3 hours per course credit hour per week. There is no direct patient care in hospital or other acute setting required. The practicum component of the course will be completed through virtual simulation and other online assignments. It is recommended that students attend a course orientation at the start of each semester. Graduates from this program receive a BSN degree. There are three enrollment options – a two-semester full-time option, a four-semester fall start part-time, and three-semester spring start.

The online RN to BSN program at OSU provides maximum flexibility for working nurses to prepare for promotion, advancement and expanding leadership roles in health care. The completion degree is only available for transfer students and is designed for current registered nurses. Registered nurses will receive advanced standing credit of 30 hours for an associate degree or diploma in nursing. All prerequisite courses must be completed before beginning coursework. The program is delivered 100-percent online through Canvas, OSU’s online learning platform. Students will complete a capstone course at the conclusion of the program. Two courses have a clinical component in which students complete clinical assignments according to their schedule in appropriate locations of their choice. Graduates will receive the BSN degree. Part time and full-time options are available. New cohorts begin each semester — fall, spring and summer.

University of Central Oklahoma

The RN to B.S., nursing at the University of Central Oklahoma is available online for registered nurses who are interested in furthering their nursing education. The fully-online program with part-time and full-time options gives nurses the flexibility to balance work with professional and personal goals. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours at UCO.
