Registered nurses work on the front lines of healthcare, bringing help and relief to those who are sick or injured. If you’re compassionate and want to make an impact in the lives of patients and their families, becoming a registered nurse may be worthwhile. As a nurse, you’ll collaborate with the health care team to support the recovery of health. Your duties will include checking vitals, dressing wounds, administering medications, and creating, implementing, and assessing treatment plans.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing is just one path to nursing. This path is the shortest and most affordable to become licensure as a registered nurse. Upon graduation, you will demonstrate competency to practice in an entry-level nursing position. The growing complexities within the healthcare system require nurses to demonstrate a body of knowledge that is wider than that offered by the associate degree. Therefore, it is essential and you pursue a BSN degree through an RN-BSN bridge program to meet current health care demands. BSN prepared nurses have better patient outcomes, earn higher salaries, have opportunities to pursue professional advancement, and can pursue diverse career paths from nurse education to administration.
