Nursing is one of a few professions that offer financial stability and numerous opportunities for growth, diversity, and career advancement. While those rewards are beneficial in themselves, the best part of the profession for most nurses is that it is personally rewarding. There has never been a better time to enroll in a nursing program and enjoy the best that nursing has to offer. The global COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the demand for nurses to extraordinary heights, making it easier for nursing graduates to obtain employment within weeks of receiving their registered nurse license. Associate degree in nursing programs provide the training adults – with no experience in healthcare – need to care for injured, sick, and dying patients. As a professional nurse, your responsibilities may extend beyond your technical abilities as you will often serve as a confidant, advocate, comforter, cheerleader, and friend to patients who are experiencing varied emotions during most trying times. Whatever your reasons are for responding to the call for nurses, you can be assured of job security as the job outlook is holding steady at a rate of 9% – according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
