Graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Santa Ana College are prepared to function knowledgeably, safely, and effectively in nursing practice in various health care settings. Students who successfully complete the program will be prepared to take the state licensing exam to practice as registered nurses. They will be eligible transfer to a four-year institution to complete the baccalaureate degree. Applications for advanced placement is available for LVN candidates for the 2nd and 4th semester only. The Associate Degree Nursing Program is offered in blended format. Classroom instruction and clinical experiences provide students with knowledge and technical abilities to function as competent professionals in various health care settings. ADN candidates must complete all cases with a GPA of at least 75% and the ATI RN Comprehensive Predictor Examination with a minimum raw score that equates to a high probability of passing the first time, the NCLEX-RN exam.
