BSN Programs Minneapolis, MN

If you’re compassionate and courageous, attentive, flexible, empathetic and have good problem-solving skills and want to minister to others in a healthcare setting, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing may be a good fit for you. The program supports the development of skills that will enable you to function in the role of a professional nurse generalist. It will provide opportunities to engage in collaborative practice experiences that will set the foundation for meeting the needs of diverse patient populations.

The Associate Degree in Nursing provides for fast entry into nursing, but the training is always enough in the competitive field of nursing. There are many compelling reasons to pursue the BSN – even with the additional investment of money and time. The complexities of patient care have changed hiring trends with more employers seeking the services of nurses with a baccalaureate education. Thus, BSN graduates have better opportunities due to their knowledge of nursing research, nursing management, community health, health promotion, ethics, and leadership. Advanced critical thinking skills and the use of evidence-based practice to guide clinical judgment will lead to improved patient outcomes. The BSN program also lays the foundation for continuing studies. Many BSN nurses enroll in graduate nursing programs to prepare for specialty or advanced practice.
