BSN Programs Phoenix, AZ

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree requires more time in school – at least two years more – and extra tuition than the Associate of Science in Nursing, yet more students are opting for the BSN to benefit from the expanded curriculum, extensive clinical experiences, and better job prospects after graduation. The BSN program covers additional training in the areas of public health, leadership, management, and nursing research giving students a clearer understanding of key concepts in health care delivery. They will be better prepared to use evidence-based research in clinical decisions, improve patient outcomes, and prepare for leadership and educator roles. According to studies published over the last decade, hospitals, where the majority of RNs held a bachelor’s degree, had mortality rates as much as 30 percent lower than those where the majority of nurses held the ADN degree. As the demand for the BSN degree increases in hospitals and other health care settings, prospective nurses will do well to consider this BSN program to improve their job outlook and set a solid foundation for advanced nursing roles.
