Towson University

The bachelor of science in nursing major is a pre-licensure option or students who do not have a previous nursing degree. An accelerated BSN is also available for persons who have a bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing. Although the major requires a minimum of 120 units, students will complete more than the required 120 units after fulfilling established departmental requirements. The program is not open for direct entry. Students will complete pre-major requirements and nursing prerequisite courses during the first two years before applying for admission to the major in the sophomore year for entry in the junior year. Graduates will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

The Helene Fuld School of Nursing (HFSON) provides bachelor of science degree students with an exemplary education that sets them apart in practice.
